ABOUT

aboutTHEARTIST

Even as a young child, I dreamed of a career in the arts.  I have been lucky to have spent the early part of my career creating art as a professional artist, designer, muralist, apparel designer, and educator.   With over 18 years of professional experience, I’ve created designs from concept to creation for large corporations, mom and pop shops, and my own apparel company.  I have experience working through the design process, and not stopping until the design is the perfect fit for the client.  Simultaneously, I have been an art educator at the high school level for the past 18 years.

My work seems to be taking an ever-evolving course, similar to my life in most stages.  Over the years the style has been fluid and experimental, but the meaning behind the work has been the constant. Life, pattern, daily struggle, and the pure joy of being alive.

When you look at my work, I hope to place the viewer in a familiar time or place, churn a memory that may have been long forgotten, or just make you remember why it is you love your life.
